Our different treatments

You can undergo orthodontic treatment at any stage of your life.

Orthodontic treatment may vary depending on age: child, adolescent, or adult. This section presents the options available for each age group.

 6 to 8 years
Treatment for children

Between the ages of 6 and 8, certain treatments can play a preventive role, particularly in promoting palate development. These may be followed by an interception phase between the ages of 8 and 11, as well as a period of follow-up. Depending on dental development, additional treatment may be considered during adolescence.

From the age of 12
Treatment for adolescents

During adolescence, orthodontic treatment may be a continuation of treatment that began earlier or may be the first treatment. From the age of 12 onwards, different types of orthodontic appliances may be offered depending on each patient's situation.

All ages
Treatment for adults

Orthodontics can be recommended at any age. In adults, it can address a variety of situations: cosmetic improvement, readjustment after trauma, or late correction of dental imbalance. A specialized clinical examination is used to determine the appropriate recommendations and procedures for each case.

Frequently asked questions

As each case is different and each patient has a personalized treatment, fees vary from one patient to another.

At Dr. Ellouze’s clinic, we set the price of your treatment only after your second appointment. With the information collected during this appointment, Dr. Ellouze can, at your third visit, propose a treatment and estimate its duration and cost.

It is important to distinguish between the different types of costs:

  • Costs related to consultation, X-rays, and dental impressions
  • Costs related to the doctor’s fees
  • Costs related to the materials placed in the mouth (depending on the type of appliance)
  • Costs related to procedures that may be required during treatment and are not included in the initial treatment plan
  • Costs related to follow-up consultations during passive treatment

A financing plan will be proposed based on your preferences. It is also possible to have part of these costs reimbursed by your private insurance.

In Tunisia, the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) reimburses your expenses up to 337 dinars per year. Private insurance companies are more generous with reimbursements; contact your insurer for more information.

Dental chair sessions are not very painful. However, your teeth may remain sensitive for a few days after each appointment. You can relieve this discomfort with painkillers prescribed by your orthodontist and with a diet adapted to your teeth’s mobility, which is the source of this sensitivity.

Each case is unique and each patient receives a personalized evaluation of the duration of their treatment. Dr. Ellouze nevertheless commits not to exceed 18 months of treatment for most cases. This, of course, depends on the patient’s diligence in attending appointments.

The best treatment is the one proposed by your orthodontist. Dr. Ellouze takes the time to define a treatment strategy tailored to each case. Even if he advises you based on his diagnosis, he lets you choose the type of appliance: metal or ceramic, visible or invisible.
